Awesome example of the Merry Makers mouse band mechanical lithographed tinplate toy produced by the Louis Marx company in the early 1930s. Missing the fiddler character that sat atop the piano.

Condition: The toy winds and the keys operate. Graphics are great. Some light scuffs and rust spots.
Besides the well known allusion to a certain Disney mouse, the Merry Makers were actually based on Cab Calloway and his Orchestra. The hep mice are dressed to the nines in black tuxedos, black ties, white shirts, red vests, and spats. The lithography design on the piano and chairs match the same slick style worn by the mice. Wind the attached key, move the lever to start, and the animated threesome comes to life.
