    Description

This is a watercolor of a Railway Express Agency train station and its surroundings. It is in its original frame.
It is dated 1976 and signed P. KRALL.
    The overall frame measures 18 5/8 inches wide x 14 5/8 inches high (47.3 cm x 37.1 cm). The visible part of the painting measures 11 1/2 inches wide x 8 3/4 inches high (29.2 cm x 22.2 cm).
I don’t know where this was painted, but I did purchase it in south-central Pennsylvania.
The painting has a great feeling about it, with the people and houses. I can just picture a local person setting up their tripod painting easel. Just a thought.
The painting has a few scattered areas with foxing. If you look in the extreme corners, you see one tiny hole in each of the left corners and two on each of the right side corners. It’s as if the person pinned it onto something at some point. I’m just not sure though. The surrounding mat has some scattered areas with foxing spots.
The frame has scattered dings and wear, but is generally in very good condition.
It weighs just under 2 lbs. 14 oz. (1.3 kg).
