Effanbee and Dale Messick comes with original box and papers. She has a riot of fiery red silky curls. Her head can turn and tilt. Her arms and legs can move up, down, and outward, and they do not bend. Her original full red ballgown has a red tulle underskirt and gold metallic bodice that is studded with gold stars made from sequins and printed ink, and beading. The gown is fastened with two hooks. There is a matching sheer stole scarf. Her red gloves have matching beading. She has nude thigh high stockings that are attached to a red garter. Her open toe sandals lace up with ribbons at the ankle. Beautiful, realistic makeup. Gold star earrings with a red rhinestone. Her black stand says “Brenda Starr” on a gold star and “Effanbee Doll Company” on the front. The original box has a lid with a plastic star cutout window. Minor wear from age but excellent overall condition for this vintage piece.
