Prewar Tin Lithographed Wind Up Toy Alligator - Made In Germany

This very high quality tin lithographed toy is marked "Made in Germany" in 2 places. It is most likely a part of a larger toy because the attached wind up key is approx. 3" long and does not allow alligator to rest on it's feet. It must be displayed on a stand. I have placed it on a cardboard tube cap to photograph. The spring is probably broken because it is unwound and doesn't tighten when wound. The spring is probably is repairable. The alligator is 7-1/2" long.
