The axles are slightly bent, clearly from previous use by its once young owner but still freely move & rotate without being seized or obstructed. The wind-up key is present but the wind up mechanism appears to have failed some time ago. The mechanism isn't seized but isn't working at least as to how it was originally designed to do. The car is exceedingly hard-to-find & even without a rider & the wind-up mechanism needing attention & possibly replacement or refurbishment, it's still a classic vint Marx tin litho toy but moreover, in this case, it's the coveted Marx Indianapolis 500 Indy race car, with its classic lines & ext wheels.
