This 1930s reproduction print highlights the Wabash Railroad's "Blue Bird" Observation Car #1601 that operated the busy Chicago to St. Louis corridor. The Wabash Railroad connected many industrial midwest cities ranging from Kansas City and Omaha in the West to Chicago, Detroit, and Buffalo. While owned by the Pennsylvania RR, it never merged and remained independent until it became part of the Norfolk & Western and Nickel Plate Road during consolidation in 1964. Today's Wabash trackage is owned by the NS.This print is restored from the original and printed on matte cardstock photo paper which is acid-free and with Canon inks that are guaranteed for 100 years without fading.
